María González heads up the Industrial / Intellectual Property &
Digital Business department at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo. She
specialises in advising domestic and international companies on
intellectual property, industrial property, copyright and technology,
particularly in litigation and dispute resolution.
María Gonzalez has represented a number of blue chip clients in a
number of high-profile proceedings, including the largest legal
proceedings in the franchising sector which reached the Spanish
Supreme Court and the first case which reached the court arising from
an interpretation problem regarding the drafting of an existing
trademark coexistence agreement. In addition, she has coordinated a
number of complex IP due diligences for multi-million transactions. 
She is an authorised representative before the Spanish Patent and
Trademark Office (OEPM) and the European Union Intellectual
Property Office (EUIPO). She plays an active role in CMS’ Global IP
Practice Group, which includes all of CMS’ offices worldwide.
